29 CFR 1910.178(m)(5)(iii):Powered industrial truck(s), with the operator dismounted and within 25 feet of the truck still in his view, did not have the load engaging means fully lowered, controls neutralized, and the brakes set to prevent movement: a) Worksite was located at 205 Elbow Lane, Burlington Township, NJ 08016 A forklift operator engaged in warehousing activities was exposed to crushing hazards when they exited the machine they had been operating to inspect a load that was raised approximately forty inches off the deck floor. The employer did not ensure that the forklift operator had safely fully lowered the load before exiting the forklift. Violation was observed on or about April 29, 2025 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
