29 CFR 1910.184(c)(9): Employee(s) were not kept clear of load(s) suspended, or about to be lifted by sling(s): Vehtek Systems, Inc. - Bowling Green, Ohio: On or about March 10, 2025, the employer did not ensure that employees were kept clear of loads about to be lifted, and of suspended loads, when using an overhead crane and wire-rope slings to lift the RH Check Fixture (1801056600) in the CMM lab. Employees were exposed to injury in the event of material displacement and/or falling material. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
