29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not provided with electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body that needed to be protected and for the work being performed: a) 1033 Old West Chocolate Avenue Hershey, PA - On or about February 21, 2025, an employee performed cleaning operations to the inside of Motor Control Center PRIMARY CHWP-2 PP-88101 and other similar 480VAC Motor Control Center panels in the West Utilities basement while energized. The employer did not require employees to wear an arc-rated flash suit hood or an arc-rated face shield and an arc-rated balaclava when the panel cover is removed. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
