29 CFR 1910.176(b): Material stored in tiers was not stacked, blocked, interlocked or limited in height so that it was stable and secure against sliding and collapse: (a) On or about February 13, 2025, racking systems used for storage of parts and materials, created a crushing and struck-by hazard, in that the system was damaged in excess of the allowable limit of 0.5 inches of deflection within a 10 foot span, per ANSI MH16.1: 2021 'Specification for the Design, Testing and Utilization of Industrial Steel Storage Racks.' Specifically, but not limited to the following damaged rack areas were identified: The racking system west of the dust collector had deflected/bent vertical members and bent cross sections. (b) On or about February 13, 2025, racking systems used for storage of parts and materials created a crushing and struck-by hazard, in that the system was not bolted to the ground. The racking systems on the west side and the north side of the manufacturing area were not secured to the ground.
