29 CFR 1910.217(b)(4)(i): The pedal mechanism shall be protected to prevent unintended operation from falling or moving objects or by accidental stepping onto the pedal. On or about February 6, 2025, and at times prior thereto, in the loading building, employees operating shape charge machine presses were exposed to inadvertent actuation or unintended energization hazards where adequate foot pedal guarding was not in place over the foot pedal.
