29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of energy control procedures, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performs any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment was isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative. a) Vee Dennis Manufacturing Co. - Throughout the manufacturing area: The employer did not establish a Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program that includes energy control procedures, employee training, and periodic inspections, as required to protect employees from the unexpected energization or startup of equipment during servicing, adjustments, part replacement, and cleaning operations. Affected machinery includes, but is not limited to, vertical milling machines, shear machines, and Time Saver machines, occurred on or about 01/14/2025.
