29 CFR 1910.178(o)(2): Load(s) were being handled which exceeded the rated capacity of the industrial truck(s): On or about December 19, 2024, in building 282, the employer did not ensure that the Nissan by Unicarriers forklift number 128 (serial number: CT1B2-981185) was prevented from being used to handle loads exceeding the rated capacity in that it was used it to move pallets of scrap metal weighing between 3935lbs-5075lbs which exceeds the lift's capacity of 2,175 lbs. with the single double pallet handling attachment, exposing employees to hazards associated with overloading and tip-overs.
