29 CFR 1910.178(o)(1): Only stable or safely arranged loads shall be handled. Caution shall be exercised when handling off-center loads which cannot be centered. a. On or about December 13, 2024, employees used a Toyota Forklift (Model 8FCU20, S/N 49103) to lift a palletized load of freezer wall panels from a delivery truck that weighed approximately 3000lbs. The employer did not ensure that the load was balanced and stable on the forks as the load was raised and/or moved. The condition exposed an employee standing on the side of the load to crushed-by hazards.
