Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a.) Viking Tool & Gage, Inc. 11210 State Highway 18 Conneaut Lake, PA 16316: on or about 12-16-2024, and times prior thereto: Employees are exposed to hazards associated with the Un-Coiler machine in the Stamping Area. The Un-Coiler machine did not have guarding in place to prevent employees from contacting the moving parts of the machine while in operation. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
