29 CFR 1910.242(a): General requirements. Each employer shall be responsible for the safe condition of tools and equipment used by employees, including tools and equipment which may be furnished by employees. a) On or about October 4, 2024, the employer did not ensure the safe condition the Craftsman portable electric 3/8 in. drill with paint attachment which was used by employees for mixing waffle batter in that the drill and helix paint drill attachment are not designed for use with waffle batter and employees were exposed to the rotating attachments.
