Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1):The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On or about September 26, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards while performing roofing work and the employer did not provide a training program to recognize fall hazards and the procedure to be followed in order to minimize those hazards. Victor Loja-Tenezaca DBA Victor Loja-Tenezaca was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1699742, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on October 26, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 432 Highland Rd., Matteson, IL 60443. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
