Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. Armando Medina at a jobsite located at 311 Hayden Road, Columbus, OH 43235: On or about September 10, 2024, employees were exposed to falls of over 50 feet while standing on exterior guardrails during residential framing activities. b. Armando Medina at a jobsite located at 311 Hayden Road, Columbus, OH 43235: On or about September 10, 2024, the employer did not ensure that sub-contractor employees performing framing work were protected from fall hazards, thereby exposing sub-contractor employees to falls of over 50 feet. Armando Medina was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1510923, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on July 12, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 4120 Tarkton Sq. W, Groveport, OH 43125 Armando Medina was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1441177, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 27, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1860 Welsh Place, Marysville, OH 43068.
