29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). On or about September 09, 2024, on the northwest side of the excavation; without adequate cave-in protection, employees were marking a water line inside an excavation greater than 5 feet deep. Sargent Plumbing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1653651, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on August 14, 2023, with respect to a workplace located near the southwest corner of the Stewart Street and Woodson Street intersection, Willis, TX 77378. Sargent Plumbing, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.652(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1663984, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on October 05, 2023, with respect to a worksite located near 14700 Hwy 105 West, Montgomery, TX 77356.
