29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. On or about August 23, 2024, and at times prior, employees performing maintenance and servicing tasks such as, but not limited to, inspecting the levels of the dust in the bags/barrels and inspecting the operation of the Donaldson Torit #01 Downflo Evolution (Serial No. 15093521-L1-1) dust collection system, were not trained in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the types and magnitudes of the hazardous energy sources, and the methods and means necessary for energy control and isolation. As a result, employees were exposed to caught-in/between and struck-by hazards.
