1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials, and equipment to be nade by a competnet person(s): Location- Jobsite 60 Bedford St, Lexington, MA a) On July 18, 2024, an employee was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet when standing on a built in trash compactor where fall protection was not used. b) On July 18, 2024, an employee was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 25 feet when walking on the roof of the building where fall protection was not used. c) On July 18, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees using handheld grinders performing tuckpointing were protected from being exposed to silica with the use of engineering controls, work practices, and reespiratory protections. The employer did not have a program to conduct and document frequent and regular inspections of their worksites to ensure that workers were protected from falls and exposure to silica.
