29 CFR 1910.179(j)(3): Complete inspections of crane(s) had not been performed at intervals as generally defined in paragraph (j)(1)(ii)(b) of this section. a. ABC Technologies WMG USA, Inc. - Bellevue, Ohio: On or about June 27, 2024, employees were exposed to struck-by and crushing injuries in that the employer did not ensure that the east Engineered Material Handling 50/20-ton overhead gantry crane (model ZLK; s/n 101677) was thoroughly inspected for deficiencies at least annually. b. ABC Technologies WMG USA, Inc. - Bellevue, Ohio: On or about June 27, 2024, employees were exposed to struck-by and crushing injuries in that the employer did not ensure that the west Engineered Material Handling 50/20-ton overhead gantry crane (s/n 975386) was thoroughly inspected for deficiencies at least annually. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
