29 CFR 1926.1051(a): Stairways or ladders were not provided at all personnel points of access where there was a break in elevation of 19 inches (48 cm) or more, and no ramp, runway, sloped embankment, or personnel hoist was provided: On or about June 6, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards of 9 feet to the interior and 11 feet to the exterior of the building, while accessing and exiting the top plate via a 6 ft. stepladder, on a residential construction site in Urbana, Illinois. TIMBERVIEW BUILDERS LLC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.1051(a), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1733152, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON MAY 9, 2024, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 3504 MELISSA LANE, URBANA, ILLLINOIS 61802.
