29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit routes were not free and unobstructed. Materials or equipment were placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route. The exit access went through a room that could be locked, to reach an exit or exit discharge. a) H2 Space in Building B at 197 Meister Ave Branchburg, NJ 08876; The emergency egress path of travel from hood-8 workstation to the westside exit was partially blocked by materials, such as dry ice containers and cylinder chillers, causing employees to detour around H2 Space upon evacuating the building B during 6/05/2004 fire. This condition exposed employees to the hazard of tripping and fire/smoke exposure due to delayed emergency egress or entrapment. Hazard(s) was observed on or about June 14, 2024.
