29 CFR 1910.178(g)(2): Battery changing and charging installations for industrial trucks were not provided with facilities for flushing and neutralizing spilled electrolyte: At the press and plating departments of the facility, employee(s) engaged in forklift battery changing and charging activities are exposed to chemical hazards. No spill kit is made available for the changing and charging stations. Battery acid/electrolyte is corrosive and cause skin irritation/burns and eye damage, respiratory irritation and/or inflammation of nose, throat and bronchial tubes upon inhalation.
