29 CFR 1915.73(d): When employees were exposed to unguarded edges of decks, platforms, flats, or similar flat surfaces, more than 5 feet above a solid surface, the edges were not guarded by adequate guardrails meeting the requirements of 29 CFR 1915.71(j)(1) and (2). Location: 1818 Brown Ave., Norfolk, Virginia 23504 Drydock #2. On or about: 04/02/2024 a) Employees worked installing scaffolding aboard the drydocked fishing vessel Rappahannock that had an unguarded deck edge. The Rappahannock deck guard rail was too low to guard from a fall.
