Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: On or about March 28, 2024, the employer did not develop, document and utilize hazardous energy control procedures prior to allowing employees to engage in service and maintenance activities on the Minster Press, Serial no-G1-110-26842. The Press was not locked out as the employee reached into the point of operation to apply lubricating oil to the upper die, there by exposing him to crushing and amputation injuries. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
