29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary, whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered: (a) Molding station #1 - On or about March 19, 2024, the employer failed to ensure that an employee donned safety glasses and face shield prior to grinding a metal bolt while inside the clamp unit area of a Husky Hylectric 300 RS80/70, Machine Item #2301070, thereby exposing them to struck by and eye hazards which may result in cuts, lacerations, and burns to the eyes and face. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
