29 CFR 1910.179(n)(3)(iii)(a): There was no steps taken to prevent against the sudden acceleration or deceleration of the moving load: a) 500 Green Street, Canton Township, PA: On or about January 6, 2024, near the scrap pit located in the 110 mill, the employer did not ensure that appropriate steps were taken to prevent the sudden movement or stoppage of a load, resulting in an employee being pinned between the scrap pit gate and a suspended scrap container at the # 56 crane, resulting in a bi-lateral lower leg amputation injury.
