29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation: a) 800 Peach Glen-Idaville Rd., Peach Glen, PA 17375 - On or about December 28, 2023, an employee was adjusting the oil pressure on the ammonia refrigeration system in Compressor Room 1 which caused a release of anhydrous ammonia, and subsequently injured the employee. The employee was not wearing appropriate eye and face protection during this activity. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
