29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1):The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. a)On or about 11/29/2023, during the installation of roofing material on a newly constructed residential property located at Lot #245 of 305 Byron Court in Stockbridge, GA 30281: Roof, employees tasked with installing shingles were not protected from struck by hazards, in that protective eyewear was not provided nor used while operating pneumatic nail guns H & J Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1500800, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 04/09/2021, with respect to a workplace located at Lot #18 Peppertree Drive, Newnan, GA 30265 .
