29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(B):The energy control procedures did not clearly and specifically outline the steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy. 1 Cudworth Rd, Webster, MA: On and before November 2, 2023, the NorthTech Up-cut Saw energy control procedure did not include the techniques to protect authorized employees from the TigerStop electrical energy and the one-minute of kinetic/stored energy of the sawblade before it stopped. On October 27, 2023, an authorized employee received fingertip amputation injuries while unclogging the vacuum port inside the NorthTech Up-cut Saw blade guard without knowing of and waiting for sawblade to stop.
