Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): The employer shall ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace is labeled, tagged or marked with product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals, and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, will provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical: On or about November 1, 2023, at a facility located at 7811 County Road D in Waupaca, WI; the employer did not ensure that secondary containers of hazardous chemical were labeled, tagged, or marked with information that would identify the products nor with the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemicals within. Secondary containers such as but not limited to a pressurized hand sprayer contained sanitizing chemicals utilized by Sanitation employees was not labeled with a product identifier of the contents, nor with the physical and health hazards of the chemical.
