29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iv): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief is provided to prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws: At a worksite located at 2768 11th Street, Lee's Summit, MO, 64081, employees were exposed to electrical shock hazards. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to utilize electrical equipment that had strain relief damage. This hazard was most recently observed on 10/16/2023. instances of exposure include but are not limited to: Instance 1: An electrical extension cord with strain relief damage was in use near the northern section of the worksite to power a radio and power tool battery chargers. Instance 2: A Rolair systems air compressor was in use near the northern section of the worksite that had strain relief damage to the power cable.
