29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about October 6, 2023, and at times prior to, at 1995 Elsa Street, Naples, FL 34109, employees were exposed to amputation hazards in that the employer did not ensure that the band conveyor in the Eagle Concrete Crusher Machine Model 1200-25 was guarded to prevent accidental contact with nip/crush points. b) On or about October 6, 2023, and at times prior to, at 1995 Elsa Street, Naples, FL 34109, employees were exposed to amputation hazards in that the employer did not ensure that the transverse (side) band conveyor in the Eagle Concrete Crusher Machine Model 1200-25 was guarded to prevent accidental contact with nip/crush points.
