29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles. a- 31 & 33 Halsey Street, Lakewood NJ: While using air nailers and portable electric circular saws when engaged in sheathing activities, workers and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to eye loss and eye injury as eye/face protection was not being utilized. Condition observed on or about 09/14/23. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
