29 CFR 1910.212(a)(4): Revolving drum(s), barrel(s), or container(s) were not guarded by enclosure(s) which were interlocked with the drive mechanism so that the barrel(s), drum(s), or container(s) could not revolve unless the enclosure(s) were in place: WORKSHOP/ASSEMBLY DEPARTMENT: On/or about June 29, 2023, the employer did not sufficiently guard the barrels/drums of the rivet assembly machines in that the guards were not interlocked with the drive mechanism. On/or about June 29, 2023, the insufficient guarding by the employer at UTA Blind Rivet Assembly Machine #11 resulted in an employee finger tip amputation while replacing a pin at the barrel/drum.
