29 CFR 1910.22(c): The employer did not provide, and ensure each employee uses, a safe means of access and egress to and from walking-working surfaces. a) Ladder Used to Access the Chemistry Lab Roof; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that employees were required to use a movable ladder with handrails that go on both sides to the top of the ladder to access the roof of the chemistry lab to collect supplies and turn the production water on and off. a) Stairway for Hazardous Wastewater Treatment Tank; On or about August 22, 2023, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that employees are required to go up to the wastewater treatment tank without having a stairway landing to safely gain access to the platform where the tank is located.
