29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(i): Unused openings in boxes, raceways, auxiliary gutters, cabinets, equipment cases, or housings shall be effectively closed to afford protection substantially equivalent to the wall of the equipment: a) On or about July 25, 2023, technicians working on the "data miners" in the mine were exposed to 415-volt electrical shock and ARC flash hazards while disconnecting the "data miners" from the PDU's for maintenance; the employer did not ensure all unused openings on the 415-volt PDU's were effectively closed to afford protection equivalent to the wall of the equipment.
