29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i):The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. On or about June 20, 2023, the employer failed to conduct an adequate periodic inspection of the developed and documented energy control procedure for the Faircrest Steel Plant Vertical Caster West Tundish Car to correct any inadequacies in the procedure [per 1910.147(c)(6)(i)(B)] and/or include a review, between an inspector and each authorized employee, of that employees responsibilities under the energy control procedure [per 1910.147(c)(6)(i)(C)], to ensure the procedure and the requirements of the standard were being followed by employees.
