29 CFR 1926.651(k)(2): Where the competent person found evidence of a situation that could result in possible collapse, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions, exposed employee(s) was/were not removed from the hazardous area until the necessary precautions have been taken to ensure their safety. a) Jobsite located at 1222 N 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122- On or about June 16, 2023, the competent person was aware of conditions, such as but not limited to excavation collapses, that could affect the stability of up to approximately 6 feet trench and did not take precautions or removed the employees working in the trench from exposure to collapse hazards.
