29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. a. The employer does not protect each employee from the hazards of falling by the use of a training program that enables each employee to recognize the hazards of falling. The employer does not provide training in recognition of the hazards of falling and the procedures to follow to minimize these hazards. This most recently occurred on or about May 23, 2023 on the job site located at Chesapeake Way Lot 35, Pickerington, Ohio, 43147 jobsite. The employer failed to develop and implement a fall hazard training program for employees with exposure to fall hazards of up to 31 feet while performing residential framing work onsite. Jerry Turnbaugh was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1506122, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on June 14, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 841 Village Mill Road, Pickerington, OH 43147. Jerry Turnbaugh was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard, 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1487111, citation number 1, item number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on October 6, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 8427 Chesapeake Way NW, Lot #22, Pickerington, OH 43147.
