29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). If such hazards were present, or likely to be present, the employer did not: (i) Select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; (ii) Communicate selection decisions to each affected employee; and (iii) Select PPE that properly fit each affected employee: (a) At the back yard of a residence located at 403 Roy Bell Rd. Jackson, GA: On or about March 6, 2023, employees engaged in demolition operations of a barn, were exposed to cuts and lacerations, amputation, struck-by, crushing, and fall hazards, in that the employer did not conduct an assessment to determine the appropriate personal protective equipment for use while employees were engaged in demolition operations.
