29 CFR 1910.1025(e)(3)(i):The employer did not establish and implement a written compliance program to reduce exposures to or below the permissible exposure limit, solely by means of engineering and work practice controls: Location: Mirion Technologies (Capintec), Inc., 7 Vreeland Road, Florham Park, NJ a) The employer did not implement and establish a written compliance program to reduce worker exposure to lead. On May 8, 2023, an employee sanding shielding materials in the machine room was exposed to respirable lead concentrations of 120 micrograms per cubic meter of air as an 8 hour Time Weighted Average exceeding the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) of 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air by 2.4 times. Zero exposure was assumed for the unsampled period of 66 minutes. The shielding material used contained 99.99 percent lead. Violation occurred on or around May 8, 2023.
