29 CFR 1910.106(e)(2)(ii)(b)(2): The quantity of Category 2, 3, or 4 flammable liquid located outside of an inside storage room or storage cabinet in a building or in any one fire area of a building exceeded 120 gallons: a) Main Production Area: Approximately 1,100 gallons of category 3 flammable paint in 55-gallon drums, including Commercial Performance Coatings (ALK-300), Bright Orange 3.3 VOC, acrylic enamel, and acetone, that are each labeled as flammable liquids were stored in the production area, and not in an approved storage room, which exposed employees to the potential for serious burns or death from a fire, on or about March 13, 2023. b) Inside the Outside Paint Booth Building: Approximately 1,100 gallons of category 3 flammable paint in 55-gallon drums, including Commercial Performance Coatings (ALK-300), Bright Orange 3.3 VOC, acrylic enamel, and acetone, were stored near the paint booth, and not in an approved storage room, which exposed employees to the potential for serious burns or death from a fire, on or about March 28, 2023.
