29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A):Each authorized employee shall receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control. a. On or about March 6, 2023, the employer did not ensure an employee authorized to perform service and maintenance activities on the DMG Mori CNC Multi-Spindle Lathe Machine, known as the Swiss 2 Machine, received training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, types and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control while cleaning the Swiss 2 Machine. b. On or about March 7, 2023, the employer did not ensure an employee authorized to perform service and maintenance activities on the DMG Mori CNC Multi-Spindle Lathe Machine, known as the Swiss 2 Machine, received training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, types and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control while setting up the Swiss 2 Machine.
