29 CFR 1910.178(q)(1): The employer did not ensure power-operated industrial trucks that were not operating safely were removed from service: a. On or about February 5, 2023, the employer failed to ensure that forklifts not in a safe operating condition were removed from service. The Mitsubishi, Model FGC25K1-64115, LPG forklift was allowed to be operated while having leaking fluids and brakes that did not function properly, thereby exposing affected employee(s) to struck-by hazards. USF Holland LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29CFR 1910.178(q)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1495350, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on June 3, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 72 Eastgate Drive, Danville, IL 61834 .
