29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: On or about January 9, 2023, and times prior thereto, compressed gas cylinders were not stored securely and handled in accordance with the Compressed Gas Association standards, exposing employees to struck-by hazards in the following instances: a) In the Production Area Frame Shop on the frame welding side of the workspace, a compressed gas cylinder was in use and unsecured. b) Outside the Production Area Frame Shop in the compressed gas cylinder storage area, one (1) compressed gas cylinder was stored in an uncapped and unsecured state. c) In the Production Area Frame Shop on the frame painting side of the workspace, a compressed gas cylinder was in use and unsecured.
