29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3): Training program content. Powered industrial truck operators shall receive initial training in the following topics, except in topics which the employer can demonstrate are not applicable to safe operation of the truck in the employer's workplace. 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(i): Truck-related topics: 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(3)(i)(G): Fork and attachment adaptation, operation, and use limitations; a. On or about December 29, 2022, and at times prior, the employer did not ensure that the forklift training for forklift operators included information on the fork and attachment adaptation, operation, and use limitations for the MSI Part 2007 (EZZ-060222023) attachment on the Crown RC5500 stand-up/counterbalance forklift. Employees were thereby exposed to struck-by injuries.
