29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2): 1926.200(g)(2) The design and use of all traffic devices, including signs, signals, markings, barricades, and other devices, for protection of construction workers did not conform to Part 6 of the MUTCD (incorporated by reference, see 1926.6): a) Rt. 24 & Mt Joy Road, Millsboro, De 19966 (Eastbound on John J. Williams Highway/Route 24): On or about December 29, 2022, employees were exposed to multiple hazards onsite including but not limited to struck-by and caught-in hazards when the employees performed roadway widening/future paving activities where traffic had not been channelized from the existing path to their new path and the travel path was not delineated by devices or marking according to the MUTCD in sections such as but not limited to 6C.05 and 6F.78. b) Rt. 24 & Mt Joy Road, Millsboro, De 19966 (Southbound on Mt Joy Road): On or about December 29, 2022, employee was exposed to multiple hazards onsite including but not limited to struck-by and caught-in hazards when the employee performed roadway widening/future paving activities where the required traffic signs were not posted to assist traffic in understanding traffic pattern changes according to MUTCD section 6G .03. The MUMFORD & MILLER CONCRETE, INC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.200(g)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1521400, citation number 1, item number 6 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/1/2022, with respect to a workplace located at East of Plantation Road on Hwy 24 In front of 19041 John J Williams Hwy Rehoboth, DE 19971.
