29 CFR 1926.651(j)(2): Employees were not protected from excavated or other materials or equipment that could pose a hazard by falling or rolling into excavations, or by a combination of both if necessary. (a)17589 E Eastman Dr, Aurora CO 80013: On or about December 27, 2022, employees were not protected from excavated materials that could pose a hazard by falling into the trench. Employees were working in a trench where the spoil pile was located less than 2 feet from the edge of the trench. The spoil pile was not prevented from falling into the trench by means of a retaining device or by distance, exposing employees to crushing hazards.
