29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located, and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: On or about December 21, 2022, portable fire extinguishers were not readily accessible, and employees were exposed to a tripping hazard in that: (a) The fire extinguisher located in the back storeroom had product placed directly in front of it and its right side was blocked. Family Dollar/Dollar Tree was previously cited for a repeat serious violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1581314, citation number 1, item number 4, and was affirmed as a final order on August 1, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 2323 FM 1960 West, Houston, TX 77068.
