Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1):Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) SAMS West, INC, 9601 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229: On or before October 20, 2022, the employer did not effectively train employees on hazardous chemicals in the workplace. Employees did not know what a hazard communication program is or where to locate safety data sheets. This condition exposes employees to chemical hazards including, but not limited to exposure to: 1. Kayquat II (corrosive), and 2. Marketguard 121 (corrosive).
