29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where (a) portable ladder(s) was/were used for access to an upper level landing surface and the ladder's length did not allow the ladder side rails to extend at least 3 feet (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, the ladder was not secured at its top to a rigid support that will not deflect, and/or a grasping device was not provided to assist employees in mounting and dismounting the ladder. At jobsite located at 2406 Cooper Wichita, KS, employees engaged in residential re-roofing activities were exposed to falls from approximately 11.1 feet, in that the aluminum ladder used to access the roof did not extend 3 feet from the eave of the roof and was not secured. Ever Favela was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1544635, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 12-08-2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2300 N. Buckner St. Derby, KS. Ever Favela was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1306746, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on 06-01-2018, with respect to a workplace located at 8427 W. Meadow Pass Wichita, KS.
