29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a) Dolgen Midwest, LLC, located at 505 West Main Street, West Lafayette, OH 43845: On or about August 31, 2022, the employer did not ensure that the portable fire extinguisher was readily accessible without subjecting the employees to possible injury. Wheeled carts, boxes, a stepladder, and stacked merchandise were in front of the fire extinguisher and preventing access, which exposed employees to fire hazards. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited under the name Dolgencorp, LLC DBA Dollar General Store # 13248 for a Willful violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1566292, citation number 1, item number 3/a and was affirmed as final order on June 20, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 880 Spruce Street, BALDWIN, WI 54002. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited under the name DG Retail, LLC DBA Dollar General Store # 15726 for a Willful violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1468409, citation number 2, item number 3 and was affirmed as final order on September 4, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 450 Nashua Road, DRACUT, MA 01826 .
