29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1):Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: (a) On or about July 29,2022 employees working on the residential roof were exposed to a fall hazard of 10.6 feet when the ladder(s) used to access the roof did not have ladder side rails extended at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed, nor was the ladder secured at its top to a rigid support that would not deflect The A&J Roofing Solutions company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1449259, citation number 1, item number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on December 19th, 2019, with respect to a workplace located at 449 Randolph Street, Burlington, Wisconsin.
